Feb. 17 Litter Update
I can’t believe it, but the babies are officially 3 weeks old today! All six of the kits are happy and healthy, their eyes are open, and they’ve been enjoying their time adventuring out of the cage.
It won’t be long before they’re ready to go to their new homes and hopefully the show tables.
It looks like our mystery kit, who started out looking rather blue, has possibly turned into a siamese sable. Time will tell his actual colour, it may just change again, haha!
After holding a poll on the Sir Lopcelot’s social media channels, the name theme for this litter will be Lord of the Rings.
So far, I’ve picked a couple of names out already, but they could change when I know the kits genders 100%.
Our black tort is now named Gwaihare (named after Gwaihir, lord of the eagles during Middle Earth’s third age). The siamese sable will be Strider if it turns out to be a buck, and one of the broken black torts is smaller than the others, so we’ve been calling it Gimli. I’m hoping one of the broken black torts is a doe so I can name her Rosie Cottontail!
I’ll post more names once they’re finalized.
